At CaptivateIQ, we are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive community for everyone. This Code of Conduct (the “Code of Conduct”) outlines our expectations and applies to CaptivateIQ community members interacting at CaptivateIQ Events and across blogs, online forums, and social media platforms, including the CaptivateIQ community hosted on Vanilla Forums ULC’s platform and the Service (collectively, the “CaptivateIQ Community”).
Any terms used in this Code of Conduct and not defined will have the meanings given to them in CaptivateIQ’s Event Terms and Conditions and Terms of Use.
A Few Ground Rules
When You Attend or Engage in the CaptivateIQ Community, You Must Follow the Below Rules:
DO:
- Be professional, polite, and nonjudgmental. Keep discussions constructive and focused on the topic.
- Contribute and share by asking questions and engaging in discourse.
- Comply with the instructions of CaptivateIQ Event staff and Community moderators.
- Comply with the terms of any customer agreement governing your use of the CaptivateIQ Service.
- Comply with all applicable laws and all Event-specific requirements (including health and safety requirements).
DON’T:
- Make discriminatory, harassing, abusive, derogatory, or offensive remarks, including slurs, profanity, or defamatory statements.
- Post spam, including:
- Sharing the same content multiple times
- Sharing irrelevant content
- Offering unsolicited commercial services
- Share confidential information of a third party.
- Promote or disparage:
- CaptivateIQ competitors
- Competitors within your own industry
Scope
CaptivateIQ expects all community members (including Event attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, moderators, and employees) to uphold this Code of Conduct. It applies to the main event and all related events (social or otherwise).
Participation in the CaptivateIQ Community is voluntary, and participants will not be compensated.
CaptivateIQ does not provide legal advice. Participation in the community is not intended for seeking legal counsel.
Consequences
Inappropriate behavior or violations of this Code of Conduct will not be tolerated. If asked to stop, you must comply immediately.
CaptivateIQ may:
- Prohibit you from attending future Events or participating in the Community
- Notify your employer of violations
- Remove you from the Community and edit or delete content
- Remove you from an Event without refund
- Involve law enforcement if deemed appropriate
If you witness or experience inappropriate behavior, notify a CaptivateIQ team member as soon as possible.
